The octopus, long a symbol of intelligence, transformation, and adaptability, mirrors the creative soul’s ability to shape-shift through emotion and color. Layers of texture, charcoal, and luminous oil glazes move like currents, revealing the unseen life that stirs beneath still waters.

Artist’s Note

This painting was created as part of my personal study through the Vivid Color Alchemy class by the Milan Art Institute — a lesson in balancing vibrancy, intuition, and light. My takeaway and breakthrough on this piece was: "the underpainting is where I can be the most expressive and daring and free."
